Treatment of Retinitis pigmentosa:

MAGNOVISION™ and Subtenon Bevacizumab + Platelet Rich Plasma Injection.

Treatment of Retinitis pigmentosa:MAGNOVISION™ and Subtenon Bevacizumab + Platelet Rich Plasma Injection.

Complaint: 42-year-old female patient, decreased night vision starting at age 10, progressive narrowing of
the visual field, bumping into surrounding objects, long adaptation period from light to darkness. She states
that progress continues, and her condition 1 year ago is better than her current condition.

Treatment: Total of 3 loading doses of autologous PRP + Erythropetin + Magnovision at 1 month intervals.
Then repeat a booster session every 4-6 months. After 3 loadings, an increase in the pigment thickness of
the central ellipsoid zone was observed on OCT. The patient reported that she felt an increase in the visual
field, color vision and contrast. These findings indicate that the photoreceptors in the dormant phase were
reactivated.

PRP should be prepared by collecting a total of 8 ml of venous blood from the arm into a sterile citrated
PRP tube. After centrifuging at +4°C and 2500 rpm for 8 minutes, the lower 1/3 of the plasma in the tube is
drawn into a 2.5 ml syringe and a total of 1 ml of PRP is obtained. Then, 0.5 ml of erythropoietin is added to
the same syringe. A total of 1.5 ml of the solution of the citrate, exosomes and erythropoietin mixture is
injected into the subtenon space. This process is repeated for 3 sessions in 2 months between 1 month
interval. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) containing neurotrophins neurotrophic growth factors to increase the
neural methabolism and reactivating the dormant photoreceptors. Erithropoietin increase the neuroal
capillary density and blood flow. Electromagnetic iontophoresis (MagnoVisionTM) is essential for growth
factors and molecules injected into the sub-tenon space to pass into the sub-retinal space. MagnoVision
also facilitates the passage of these systemic drug molecules across the blood retina barrier.

RETINITIS PIGMENTOSA (RP): Anatomical and functional improvement was observed after WHARTON JELLY
DERIVED MESENCHYMAL STEMCELL (WJ-MSC) and MAGNOVISION application. Vision improved from 30
letters to 55 letters.

RP: Progressive loss of photoreceptors due to genetic mutations. Accumulation of mutant functional and
structural proteins leads to oncotic and inflammatory edema. Application of WJ-MSC and MAGNOVISION
triggers autophagy and accelerates the digestion of mutant proteins. Reduction of mutant proteins leads to
the improvement of vitritis and macular edema indicated by the yellow arrows.

WJ-MSC: A source of allogenic growth factors, neurotrophins and anti-inflammatory cytokines.

MAGNOVISION™ electromagnetic stimulation device stimulates the WJ-MSCs in the subtenon space.
Magnovision increases exosome degranulation of WJ-MSCs. Exosomes contain growth factors and
neurotrophins. Electromagnetic iontophoresis is mandatory for the transport of growth factors and
neurotrophins from the scleral pores to the coroidal matrix and then to the subretinal region by tyrosin
kinase receptors. After WJ-MSC application, Magnovision should be applied once every 4-6 months.
